The importance of the head/neck joint

Many of these articles will tell you it’s important to know exactly where your head/neck (atlanto-occipital) joint is.

Because locating your head/neck joint is so important, I’m going to show you where it is right now.Mouse over the photo to see where this woman’s head/neck joint is. It’s where you see the red cross.

When she nods her head, it will rotate around the blue cross, in the direction of the arrows — but only if she moves her head from the head/neck joint without bending her neck at all.
